According to Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, Kniterotica means: literary or artistic works having a kniterotic theme or quality. Okay, it doesn't really say that in Webster's but it should. The sight of any well stocked knitting or needlework store has almost the same effect on me as, well, porn does on its intended audience.
I started this blog as a place to concentrate on my knitting and other needlework pursuits. My other lj has more stuff on the non-fiber related events of my life although I will probably crosspost because I may not be good, but I'm proud of my work.
I've been knitting for about 28 months although I didn't knit a stitch during the four months I lived in Hong Kong last year. So does that four months count? I've been doing some form of embroidery since I was eight. I am completely burned out with cross-stitch and have any number of unfinished projects that require acres of it. Guess those aren't getting completed any time soon. Sorry Mom.
I recently added canvas embroidery to the mix but it is in a constant battle for attention with the knitting needles. I was talking to my sister-in-law recently when I told her that I had discovered, via my knitting, that I was truly obsessive compulsive. "When were you diagnosed?", she asked. "When I started knitting." She got the joke but I often wonder if, in this case, the truth is stranger than the fiction.
